What is ARMM Iskolar?

“ISKOLAR (para sa Pagbabago, para sa Bangsamoro)” was conceptualized as one of the frontline services of the Office of the Regional Governor, Mujiv S. Hataman. This was conceived through ARMM HELPS (Health, Education, Livelihood, Peace and Governance, and Synergy) to address the remaining gaps and challenges on inequity in the delivery of education services to the people of ARMM.

What are the services it can offer?

There are three main program components:

1. CHED Scholarship
         a. Full Merit Scholarship
             i. GWA – 90%
             ii. Entitled to Php30,000.00 per school year
             Scholar should render two years of service in the Philippines after graduation

         b. Half Merit Scholarship
             i. GWA – 85%
             ii. Entitled to Php15,000.00 per school year
             Scholar should render one year of service in the Philippines after graduation

         c. Tulong Dunong
             i. GWA – 80%
             ii. Entitled to Php12,000.00 per school year

         d. Study Now, Pay Later
             i. Entitled to Php15,000.00 per school year
             Scholar considered a debtor of CHED; shall pay amount granted to CHED after two years of              employment

2. ORG Special Program on Education
         a. College students of the following courses:
             i. IT
             ii. Accountancy
             iii. Courses related to Agriculture, Fisheries, or Environment
           
Benefits shall be determined after evaluation depending on the number of scholars that qualified students should be willing to sign a memorandum of agreement with the regional government to render 3-5 years of service in ARMM after graduation, should his/her services be needed.

Where to submit?

Kindly submit the requirements to the following:
1. By Physical Appearance/Personal delivery of requirements:
          a. Nearest Port Manager’s Office (for Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi applicants)
          b. CHED-ARMM (for Maguindanao and Lanao Del Sur)

2. By Postal Mail:

Do I need to pay anything?

There are no fees involved with the Iskolar program. However, fees may apply to the requirements needed such as ITR for the parents/guardian, Barangay Clearance, etc.

How to claim my allowance?

The following must be submitted when claiming your cheque:
1. Photocopy of grades
2. Photocopy of Certificate of Registration
3. Photocopy of student’s I.D.

Where to claim my allowance?

The Iskolar Team travels to each province for distribution. For unclaimed cheques, please proceed to CHED-ARMM.

When will the allowance be distributed?

Phase 1:
    a. The Iskolar Team travels to each province for distribution.

Phase 2:
   a. Cheque Release Dates
        i. Lanaodel Sur January 5 to 9, 2015
        ii. Sulu January 21 to 23, 2015
        iii. Basilan February 2 to 6, 2015
        iv. Maguindanao Mondays through Fridays, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
        v. Tawi-Tawi January 19 to 20, 2015

I wasn’t able to claim my allowance, can I still claim it?

Please proceed to CHED-ARMM for unclaimed cheques.
*Please contact the Iskolar Team via text or email prior to traveling to ensure that there is a cheque issued to the student.*
